Other Nominees:
Ismail Seremba, Akron, Forward
Freshman, London, England
Ismail Seremba played a large role as a reserve last weekend as the No. 5 Zips split a pair of matches at No. 23 St. John's and Rutgers. After entering the match in the 69th minute against the Red Storm, Seremba assisted the contest's first goal in the 71st minute with a quick pass to Eric Stevenson, who tucked a liner inside the left post from 20 yards out. Then, against the Scarlet Knights, the London native recorded perhaps UA's biggest goal of the season to date, finding the back of the net from the top of the box in the 85th minute – after entering the game in the 54th minute – to pull the Zips even in a contest they would go on to win 2-1 in double overtime.
