Ball State Earns Place In Championship Game With 4-1 Win Over Kent State

Avon, Ohio – No. 4 Ball State has claimed a spot in the MAC Championship game with their second win of the tournament over No. 1 Kent State Saturday morning, 4-1.  
Ball State’s Chris Marangon went eight  innings deep and allowed one earned run to pick up the win. Sam Tidaback went 3-4 with an RBI. Scott Baker picked up the save, having 2012 MAC Player of the Year George Roberts ground out to shortstop to record the final out.
Ball St will either play Toledo or Bowling Green with the game time still to be determined.  Should Bowling Green win game 12 at 12:30 p.m., the Championship will be played at 4 p.m. today (Saturday).   If Toledo  wins game 12, the championship will be played at 12:00 p.m. Sunday, May 26.
