CLEVELAND, OHIO -- The fourth-seeded Central Michigan Chippewas avenged a loss to Bowling Green earlier this season by dismantling the Falcons 81-48.

Back on February 3rd, it was all Bowling Green as the Falcons won 84-59.

The fifth-seeded Falcons grabbed an early 7-5 lead, but it was all Chippewas after that as Central Michigan would go on a 32-3 run over a 10-minute span en route to a 40-24 lead at the break.

The Chippewas were led by Crystal Bradford and Brandie Baker as the two scored 16 straight points for the Chippewas in the first half. The All-MAC First Teamer Bradford finished with 23 points and six rebounds while Baker finished with 14 points and three rebounds.

With the victory, the Chippewas improved to 19-11 on the year and will now play top-seed Toledo Friday at noon.

The first half plagued the Falcons who committed 18 turnovers and shot 4-17 from the three-point line. Central Michigan turned those 18 turnovers into 18 points. The Falcons committed 34 turnovers total for the game, with just 14 assists. Central Michigan finished with 39 points off of turnovers.

The Falcons closed out the first half on a 14-3 run to cut the deficit to 16, but that was as close as the Falcons would get as Central Michigan scored the first four points of the second half. Bowling Green never came within 19 points of the Chippewas the rest of the game.

Alexis Rogers and Jill Stein carried the Falcons in the first half, each scoring 8 points. Rogers would finish with 14 points and 8 rebounds, while Stein had 10 points.

The loss drops the Falcons to 22-10 on the year.
