CLEVELAND, OHIO—The seventh-seeded Buffalo Bulls defeated the sixth-seeded Miami (Ohio) RedHawks 82-70.
The Bulls took the rubber match against the RedHawks as the two teams split their two regular season meetings.
Mackenzie Loesing had 24 points and 3 rebounds to lead the Bulls (12-19).
It was a back-and-forth affair throughout much of the first half and early parts of the second half, with 9 ties and 7 lead changes.
After a 30-30 tie at halftime, Buffalo eventually pulled away in the second half, jumping out to  an 11-point lead with 6:04 left to play.  
The Bulls were especially sharp in the second half, shooting 53 percent for the half resulting in 52 points.
The RedHawks (19-12) were led by Kirsten Olowinski’s 25 points and 7 rebounds.
The Bulls will play third-seeded Akron Thursday at 2:30.
