OXFORD, Ohio (AP) -Lavoy Allen scored 15 points and Temple held Miami (Ohio) to six first-half field goals as the Owls rolled to a 64-42 victory over the RedHawks on Tuesday night.
Temple (7-2), which has won three consecutive games, entered allowing an average of 54.2 points and has held seven of its nine opponents to 56 points or less. Miami (2-6) was 6-for-20 from the field (30 percent) in the first half.
The RedHawks led 6-5 before Temple scored the next 25 points for a 30-6 lead with 7:54 left in the first half. Allen scored the first two baskets of the run and then hit a jumper for a 16-6 lead with 11:50 left.
Allen's jumper with 7:54 left in the first half gave the Owls a 30-6 lead. Temple took a 36-16 lead into halftime.
Luis Guzman scored 12 points and Juan Fernandez added 10 for Temple.
Winbush had 10 points and 10 rebounds, and Kenny Hayes scored 10 points for Miami.
Wright State 66, Toledo 56
TOLEDO, Ohio (AP) -Vaughn Duggins scored 17 points and Todd Brown added 16, leading Wright State to a 66-56 win over Toledo on Tuesday night.
Duggins finished 5-for-10 from the floor and was 5-for-6 from the foul line. Brown was 6-for-12 from the field and hit both of his free throw attempts for the Raiders (6-2), who finished 16-for-18 from the line (88.9 percent). Cory Cooperwood scored 14 points, including hitting 4 of 4 free throws attempts.
Toledo (2-7) was 3 of 5 from the free throw line.
The Raiders opened the game on a 15-3 run and never looked back, taking a 32-19 halftime advantage. Brown sank a layup, a jumper and a 3 in the early run.
The Rockets outscored the Raiders 37-34 in the second half, but it wasn't enough.
Jake Barnett, Toledo's scoring leader coming in at 14.3 points per game, paced the Rockets with 13.
