MAC Men’s Tennis Singles Player of the Week
Nadin Indre, Western Michigan – Senior, Satu Mare, Romania
Western Michigan senior Nadin Indre continued his undefeated streak in No. 1 singles to start the season, picking up wins against the 57th-ranked Indiana Hoosiers as well as the Illinois State Redbirds.  Indre improved to 2-2 against nationally-ranked singles opponents to start the weekend, beating #80 Sven Lalic of Indiana by a 7-6, 7-5 score.  Indre wrapped the weekend with a win over the Redbirds' Jakub Eisner, downing him 6-4, 6-3 in the No. 1 singles match.  Indre is 16-8 on the season in singles play, including a 6-0 record in No. 1 singles matches.

Additional Nominees:
Ray Leonard, Ball State – Junior, Bloomington, Ind. (Bloomington North High School)
Ball State junior Ray Leonard went 2-0 over the weekend at No. 1 singles and 2-0 at No. 1 doubles helping the Cardinals improve their overall record to 4-2.  Leonard began the double-header Saturday with a three set victory over Eastern Illinois' Moritz Kandt.  Leonard had dropped the first set 6-7 (8) but came back to win 6-4, 10-7 to claim the win.  Leonard also took down Indiana Tech's Joaquin Ferrando in straight sets in the night cap and won at No. 1 doubles which contributed to Ball State's 7-0 sweep over the Warriors. With the wins Leonard is now 4-2 in dual action.

Pablo Alvarez, Buffalo – Sophomore, Madrid, Spain
Buffalo sophomore Pablo Alvarez went 2-0 in singles play over the weekend, including the deciding win against Penn. Alvarez would earn a three-set win over Dartmouth's Brandon DeBot on Friday, then won a three-set dogfight with Penn's Jeremy Court the following day in the team's 4-3 win - its  first ever win against the Quakers. After dropping the first set 4-6 in the match at third singles, he would stay alive with a 6-5 win in the second set thanks to a tiebreaker win, and with all eyes on him, he would complete the comeback with a 6-4 third set. The performance was reminiscent of his match against Cornell, when he would provide the clinching point in the team's first–ever win against the Big Red.

Axel Lagerlof, Northern Illinois – Senior, Malmo, Sweden
Northern Illinois senior Axel Lagerlof defeated No. 80 Sven Lalic in a back-and-forth match on Sunday at Indiana, 6-4, 3-6, 6-2. Lagerlof improved his singles record to 6-1 on the season with the victory, with all of those matches being No. 1 and No. 2 matches.
