MAC Announces Gymnastics Preseason Poll

CLEVELAND, Ohio – The Kent State Golden Flashes have been selected to be the 2014 Mid-American Conference Champions. Results of the poll were announced today by the conference office and were voted on by the league's head coaches.
Kent State returns from a strong season where the Golden Flashes went 19-9 overall, including an undefeated 6-0 mark in the Mid-American Conference to be named regular season champions.   Kent State capped off its season with a sixth place score of 193.500 at the NCAA Tuscaloosa Regional hosted by the University of Alabama, which was the team's sixth straight regional appearance and 18th overall in 22 seasons under Head Coach Brice Biggin.
Central Michigan was tabbed in second place, while Bowling Green were picked third followed by Northern Illinois, Eastern Michigan, Western Michigan and Ball State.
The 2014 MAC Gymnastics Championship will be held at Eastern Michigan University on March 22.
