MAC Wrestler of the Week
Ian Miller, Kent State—Sophomore, Oak Harbor, Ohio
Kent State sophomore Ian Miller defeated No. 7 Isaac Jordan of Wisconsin 10-7 to win the 157-pound bracket at the Navy Classic. Miller went 5-0 on the day with three first period pins and a major decision. Miller improved to 10-1 on the season.
Phillip Joseph, Eastern Michigan—Senior, Lapeer, Mich. (Lapeer East High School)
Eastern Michigan senior Phillip Joseph secured the win for the Eagles against then-No. 23 Stanford as the Green and White trailed the Cardinal by three heading into the final bout. In a bout that would decide it all, Joseph gave everything he had as he quickly brought Thomas Kimbrell to the mat. Joseph continued to work Kimbrell as he came close to a pin on two different occasions. The redshirt-senior captain earned the victory for the Eagles in just a mere 0:59 seconds as he pinned Kimbrell to secure the 18-16 win for the Green and White. Joseph is now 8-2 overall on the season and 5-1 in dual marks after falling to Michigan State's John Rizqallah earlier in the week.
Gabe Morse, Northern Illinois—Redshirt Freshman, Alto, Mich. (Lowell High School)
Northern Illinois redshirt freshman Gabe Morse earned a pair of wins Saturday against Northern Iowa and North Dakota State. In the first dual against the Panthers, the redshirt freshman got the Huskies on the board with an 8-7 victory over Gunnar Wolfensperger. In his second match of the day, Morse scored a 9-7 decision against North Dakota State's Tyler Diamond.
Dylan Peters, Northern Iowa, Freshman, Denver, Iowa
Northern Iowa redshirt freshman Dylan Peters won the 2013 Finn Grinaker Cobber Open champion. Peters has won all five of his matches this year with pins, including his quickest pin of the year in only 31 seconds. Peters is ranked fourth in the MAC and ninth nationally by Intermat. He tied for most pins on the team last year when he wrestled unattached. He never gave up bonus points at open tournaments.

Old Dominion junior Tristan Warner finished off a 2-0 week by defeating both Iowa State's John Nicholson 6-3, by a decision and Virginia Tech's Sal Mastriani, 7-2 by a decision. After finishing second at the Wolfpack Open, Warner has accumulated the most points on Old Dominion University with 38 points.
