KALAMAZOO, Mich. -- The Western Michigan women's soccer team heads to Marquette University to take on Big East Champion Golden Eagles in the first round of the NCAA College Cup on Friday with the time still to be determined.

For the Broncos it is the second trip to the NCAA College Cup in program history and earned the automatic bid after defeating Ball State, 1-0, in the Mid-American Conference Tournament on Sunday afternoon. Marquette defeated DePaul, 2-0, to win the Big East Championship over the weekend. MU finished the conference season with a perfect 10-0 record.

Western Michigan is 0-2-0 lifetime against Marquette. The Broncos lost a 2-0 decision at Marquette on Sept. 20, 2009 and then fell to the No. 12 ranked Golden Eagles at home on Aug. 19, 2011.

WMU is 1-1 in the NCAA College Cup after upsetting No. 8 Illinois 2-0 back in 2003 and then falling to Purdue in the second round.

A full preview of the matchup will be available later this week along with ticket info.
