Northern Illinois (9-0, 5-0 in the MAC) remains one of six teams undefeated this season as the Huskies are ranked No. 15 in the BCS Standings, No. 20 in the Associated Press Top 25 Poll and No. 21 in the USA Today Coaches Poll.
The Northern Illinois 9-0 start extends its best start in the modern era (since becoming Football Bowl Subdivision in 1969) and ties the start posted by the 1965 team, which recorded a perfect 9-0 record during the regular season before losing its bowl game to finish 9-1.
Northern Illinois has won 22 of its last 23 games. The Huskies extended their winning streak over MAC teams to 22 games, the longest conference winning streak in the country, and have won 14 straight road games.
The Huskies (9-0, 5-0) will host Ball State (9-1, 6-0) this Wednesday, Nov. 13th at 8 pm ET (ESPN2) in a key West Division Conference game.
