MID-AMERICAN CONFERENCE NAMES KRISTIN WILLIAMS AS DIRECTOR OF COMPLIANCE
Cleveland, Ohio – The Mid-American Conference announced today the addition of Kristin Williams as Director of Compliance. Williams joins the Conference office from Tulane University where she served as NCAA Compliance Coordinator.
During the 2012-13 academic year, the conference office made the commitment to expand staffing and resources to support university membership in the areas eligibility, compliance, education and student-athlete academic services.
Williams will bring experience in athletics compliance and academic services to the conference office. With Tulane, Williams reviewed eligibility for transfer and high school prospective student-athletes, monitored official visit approval and reconciliation, coordinated admissions material and facilitated National Letter of Intent and Grant in Aid agreements. She also monitored eligibility and amateurism certification, acted as a financial aid liaison, coordinated transfer eligibility, assisted in rules interpretation and the development of rules education.
Williams graduated from Cleveland Marshall College of Law in May of 2012 and earned her Bachelor of Arts Degree in Philosophy and Religious Studies from Santa Clara University in June of 2009. Williams was a four-year varsity crew team member at Santa Clara.
