INDIANAPOLIS - The NCAA Division I Men’s Golf Committee have announced the teams and individuals to participate in the 2013 NCAA Division I Men’s Golf Championships Kent State and Ball State will be representing the Mid-American Conference at regional tournaments beginning May 16.
The six 54-hole regional tournaments conducted May 16-18 will consist of 13 teams. From those 13 teams 10 individuals not on those teams will be competiting at each of three regionals, while the other three regionals will have 14 teams and five individuals not on those teams. The low five teams and the low individual not on those teams from each regional will advance to the finals.
Kent State, the MAC's automatic qualifier and 2013 champions will be playing at The Blessing Golf Club in Fayetteville, Arkansas (hosted by Arkansas), while Ball State will be taking the field at Palouse Ridge Golf Club in Pullman, Wash. (hosted by Washington State).
Individuals ffrom the MAC who were selected to participate in NCAA regionals were Charlie Bull of Akron and Chris Selfridge of Toledo. Selfridge and Bull were both named to the First Team All-MAC this season.
The finals will be conducted May 28-June 2, at The Capital City Club, Crabapple Course in Atlanta, Georgia. Georgia Tech is the host institution for this year’s championships.
