THE SERIES:  This will be the 13th meeting between the Broncos and the Wildcats, with Kentucky holding an 11-1 advantage in the all-time series. The last time the Broncos and Wildcats squared off in any capacity was in 2007, when the Broncos took nine of 10 matches from the Wildcats as part of the Purdue Boilermaker Invitational on Jan. 12, 2007.

ALL-MAC HONORS:  For the second year in a row, Nadin Indre and Ross VanderPloeg have been honored by the Mid-American Conference as All-MAC performers. Indre received his second consecutive First Team All-MAC selection this season, while VanderPloeg was named Second Team All-MAC for the second time in a row as well.

BRONCO DYNASTY:  Since the Mid-American Conference tournament became the gateway to sending teams to the NCAA Tournament in 1999, Western Michigan has won the automatic bid 10 times in 15 seasons. The Broncos’ 32 total MAC titles rank second behind just Ball State’s 37 total titles.

VANDERPLOEG NAMED TOURNAMENT M.O.P.:  Ross VanderPloeg went 3-1 for the Broncos during the 2013 MAC Tournament, culminating in a victory at No. 2 singles against Northern Illinois to clinch the conference championship, and was named the 2013 MAC Tournament Most Outstanding Player. The Broncos have won the award in each of the last two seasons, with Nadin Indre taking home the prize during the 2012 run.
