• Ohio looks to snap a two-game losing skid Saturday afternoon against Bowling Green. Ohio’s DJ Cooper recorded his 900th assist against Akron and is one of just 13 players all time to accomplish the feat. Cooper is 16 points away from 2,000. At that point, he will become the first player in DI history to record 2,000 pts, 900 ast, 500 reb and 300 stl in a career....The Falcons are 10-3 at the Stroh Center. Bowling Green is 6-7 in conference play and sits in fourth place in the MAC East Division. Jordon Crawford is tied for first on the team with 15.1 ppg this season and leads the Falcons with 4.1 assists per contest. Fellow senior A’ustin Calhoun also averages 15.1 ppg and is the team’s leading rebounder. His 7.8 rpg in conference games ranks fifth-best in the league. 
Western Michigan (18-9, 9-4 MAC) at Eastern Michigan (13-15, 6-7 MAC)

• Eastern Michigan will return home Saturday, March 2, to square off with in-state rival Western Michigan. The Eagles are trying to avenge a 63-59 loss at the hands of the Broncos, Jan. 23, in Kalamazoo. Tip is set for 2:04 p.m. at the Convo. Redshirt senior Derek Thompson is leading the offensive charge for the Green and White, posting 10.7 points per game, while redshirt junior Glenn Bryant is putting up 10.4.  The Broncos come into Saturday’s contest leading the MAC West Division at a 9-4 mark, 18-9 overall. Shayne Whittington is leading WMU with 12.3 points and 8.6 rebounds per game. 
Ball State (12-14, 5-8 MAC) at Toledo (13-12, 8-5 MAC)
2 p.m. ET • Toledo leads series 43-39

• UT will be looking to sweep the season series against Ball State for the first time since the 2006-07 campaign after posting an 85-78 victory in Muncie on Jan. 30. Junior G Rian Pearson paced the Rockets in that contest with junior F Matt Smith (19 pts.), junior F Reese Holliday (16 pts.) and sophomore G Julius Brown (13 pts.) also scoring in double figures.... Ball State senior G Jauwan Scaife ranks third in MAC scoring in league play with 19.4 ppg, including a career-high 34 points in the Cardinals’ win over the Chippewas. Junior F Majok Majok is the only player in the MAC averaging a double-double with 11.0 ppg and a league-best 10.0 rpg.
Kent State (16-12, 6-7 MAC) at Miami (8-18, 3-10 MAC)

• Kent State enters March in search of its fifth win in six games when it plays Miami University on Saturday, March 2, in Oxford. A buzzer beater by Chris Evans on Wednesday night lifted Kent State to an 83-81 overtime win over Buffalo and put the Golden Flashes in position to earn a bye to either the second or third round of the upcoming MAC tournament...Miami is looking for its first win since Feb. 2 when it Central Michigan 70-61 in Mount Pleasant. Since then the RedHawks have dropped six straight, including a 52-44 loss at Bowling Green on Wednesday. Miami has also lost five straight at home dating back to a 63-60 win over Bowling Green on Jan. 16.
No. 24 Akron (23-4, 13-0 MAC) at Buffalo (11-17, 6-7 MAC)

• Akron’s 19-game winning streak is now just two shy of the school (21, 1956-57) and MAC (21, Kent State, 2001-02) records. The Zips’ 13-0 start to MAC play is the best in league history, passing Miami (Ohio)’s 12-0 start during the 1957-58 season.  During their 19-game winning streak, the Zips are out-scoring their opponents by 13.9 points/game and hold a +8.8 rebounding advantage. UA is shooting 46.1 percent and has held at least a share of the lead for 616:36 out of the last 765:00 minutes (80.6 percent)... The Bulls have lost two-straight contests and are 7-5 at home. Two Bulls are averaging double figures in the scoring column, including Javon McCrea (17.6 ppg) & Tony Watson (10.8 ppg). McCrea is the team’s leading rebounder (8.1 rpg).

• The Chippewas wrap up a three-game road swing Saturday at Northern Illinois looking to avenge a 74-61 loss at home earlier this season to the Huskies. Chris Fowler is riding a string of four straight double-digit scoring games and dished out a career-best 13 assists at Ball State for his first double-double.NIU’s Abdel Nader has scored in double figures in 13 games this season; Nader has scored in double figures in 29 games during his career, including six 20-plus games.
