McCormick Clouser, Ball State
Sophomore, Bluffton, Ind. (Norwell)
McCormick Clouser posted a perfect 3-0 record at this week's Mid-American Match play to help Ball State to a runner-up finish as a team. Clouser needed only 16 holes to defeat his previous two opponents, posting a pair of 3-and-2 victories over Ohio's Mike Engleman and Eastern Michigan's Brian Burt. Clouser helped Ball State defeat both Ohio and Eastern Michigan, 4.5 to 1.5, before the Cardinals fell in the championship match to Bowling Green, 3.5 to 2.5. The tournament included eight Mid-American Conference teams and was played on the par-72, 7,153-yard South Course at Lake Jovita Golf and Country Club in Dade City, Fla.
