Miami (11-6, 3-1 MAC) at Bowling Green (12-5, 3-1 MAC)
7 PM • Bowling Green leads 44-25
TV Coverage: BCSN
• Senior guard Courtney Osborn is now second all-time at Miami with 453 made free throws. She needs 12 more to break the record of Amanda Jackson (2003-08), who made 464 during her time with the RedHawks.
• Thursday’s game is a matchup of the teams picked to finish one-two in the MAC’s East Division standings in 2012-13 ... Miami was the choice to win the division in the preseason poll, with the Falcons tabbed for second. Prior to this season, BGSU had not held three-straight opponents under 50 points for the first time in more than three decades (since December of 1981) ... in 2012-13, however, the Falcons have turned that trick twice. In fact, BGSU has held four-straight opponents to fewer than 50 points to begin the conference schedule ... the Falcons last kept four consecutive opponents under the 50-point mark in early 1975 (Wittenberg, Kent State, Cedarville and Miami; Jan. 21 to Feb. 1, 1975).
Eastern Michigan (3-14, 1-3 MAC) at Kent State (2-15, 0-4 MAC)
7 PM • Toledo leads 38-7
• Eastern Michigan has become very familiar with the road, as the team has played nine of its last 12 contests away from the confines of the Convocation Center. EMU is 2-10 during this stretch with wins at Kansas City (Dec. 15) and at Western Michigan (Jan. 10). Following the Kent State game, the Eagles will play seven of its final 11 regular season tilts in Ypsilanti.
• The Flashes are finding success in conference play at the free throw line. They rank 4th in the MAC with a 74% free throw percentage. Trisha Krewson sits atop the MAC, shooting a perfect 100% from the charity stripe in twelve attempts. The team is also excelling when it comes to grabbing offensive rebounds. In conference games, Kent State is averaging 12.3 offensive rebounds a game, ranking them 4th in the MAC.
