Kent State (10-6, 1-1 MAC) at Buffalo (5-11, 0-2 MAC)

• The Golden Flashes are off to a 1-1 start in MAC play, answering a frustrating home loss to Toledo with an impressive 61-47 win at Ball State on Saturday. Chris Evans continues to lead Kent State in both scoring (16.6) and rebounding (7.3), while fellow senior Randal Holt is averaging 13.4 per game...Buffalo is off to a 5-11 start that includes an 0-2 mark against MAC opponents. The Bulls lost a 58-57 heartbreaker to Miami in Buffalo on Saturday. Junior power forward Javon McCrea leads the Bulls in scoring (15.8) and rebounding (10.7). Will Regan (10.7) and Jarod Oldham (10.1) are also averaging in double figures for Buffalo.
 
Ball State (7-7, 1-1 MAC) at Akron (11-4, 2-0 MAC)
7 p.m. ET • Akron leads series 16-15
• Akron improved to 2-0 in MAC play with a 68-53 win at Northern Illinois on Jan. 12. During their seven-game winning streak, the Zips are out-scoring their opponents by 20.6 points/game and hold a +13.4 rebounding advantage. UA is shooting 47.5 percent while holding opponents to just 34.7 percent shooting. UA has held at least a share of the lead for 268:31 out of the last 280 minutes (95.9 percent)...The Cardinals are coming off a 61-47 loss at home to Kent State on Jan. 12. BSU is 2-3 overall on the record, including a win at Eastern Michigan on Jan. 9 to open league play. Three Cardinals are scoring in double figures, including Jesse Berry (13.3 ppg), Jauwan Scaife (11.3 ppg) and Majok Majok (10.9 ppg). Majok leads the team in rebound (10.3 rpg) and is the only MAC player averaging a double-double.
 
Bowling Green (6-9, 1-1 MAC) at Miami (6-8, 1-1 MAC)

•Coming off a thrilling 58-57 win at Buffalo on Saturday, Miami’s men’s basketball team returns home to host Bowling Green at 7 p.m. For the fifth time this season, a RedHawk posted a 20-point scoring effort. Junior guard Allen Roberts amassed 22 points at Buffalo on Jan. 12, one off his career high and the fifth 20-point performance of his career...Bowling Green also is coming off a close win on Saturday, clipping Eastern Michigan 46-44. Jordan Crawford and A’uston Calhoun pace the team. Crawford averages a team-leading 16.1 ppg and 3.9 apg, while Calhoun averages 15.7 ppg and a team-most 7.6 rpg. Richaun Holmes has 43 blocked shots on the year and ranks second among MAC statistical leaders and 13th nationally.
 
Northern Illinois (3-11, 1-1 MAC) at Ohio (11-5, 2-0 MAC)
7 p.m. ET • Ohio leads series 29-16
• Ohio is 2-0 in the MAC for the first time since the 2008-09 season. With a win Wednesday night against the Huskies, The Bobcats will move to 3-0 in league play for the first time since 2005-06. Last time out, Ohio defeated Western Michigan, 61-59, in Kalamazoo to earn its first road win of the season. D.J. Cooper led the ‘Cats with 16 points, six assists and five rebounds, while T.J. Hall added nine points, including two critical 3-pointers, off the bench. Ohio has won 32 of its past 34 contests inside the Convocation Center, including a 10-1 mark this season. Abdel Nader ranks first on the Huskies this season in points (13.6 ppg) and is the team’s second leading rebounder (4.3 rpg). Junior guard/forward Aksel Bolin paces the team in rebounding (4.4 rpg) while freshman guard Travon Baker is the team’s leading assist man (1.9 apg). Huskies senior guard Tony Nixon was a high school teammate of Ohio guard D.J. Cooper at Seton Academy in Chicago. The two led Seton to the Illinois Class 2A state championship in 2009.
 
Toledo (6-7, 2-0 MAC) at Western Michigan (8-7, 0-2 MAC)
7 p.m. ET • Toledo leads series 78-55
• Toledo looks to continue its unbeaten start to the MAC season when it travels to Kalamazoo, Mich. to battle Western Michigan. Toledo features the MAC’s top scorer with junior G Rian Pearson leading the league at 19.8 ppg. Sophomore G Julius Brown also appears in the Top 10 and is in eighth place with his 13.5 scoring mark. UT has just one win (in 2007) in Kalamazoo since 2002, and has split the season series with the Broncos each of the last two years. Tonight marks the first MAC West division game for the Broncos in 2012-13, and history says that the Broncos should be more than ready for the challenge. Since Steve Hawkins became head coach of the Broncos, they have posted a 65-29 (.691) record against MAC West opponents.
