• Akron fell to a Top-25 team in (16/15) Dayton Tuesday night, as the Zips were held to their lowest offensive production so far this season in a 90-59 decision, 20 points below their average. Three Zips finished the night in double-figure scoring: Rachel Tecca (13), Hanna Luburgh (12) and Sina King (11). Akron received quality minutes from its bench out of Carly Young and Megan Barilla. Young picked up nine points and tied the team-high six rebounds, while Barilla was 3-for-3 from the field with two 3-pointers. She also posted five assists without a turnover in just 13 minutes of action. Rachel Tecca has returned to the court after last year’s shortened season to score in double figures in all 11 of Akron’s games this season - seven of those have been 20+ point performances.

• Eight players enter Thursday’s game averaging at least 10 minutes per game for the Chippewas as they have showed off their depth through the first eight games of the season. The CMU bench has outscored its opponents in each game this season, including a season-high 58 bench points in Monday’s win over Robert Morris. The Chippewas’ currently hold a 290-116 advantage over their opponents on the season, outscoring each team they have played.

Toledo Invite • Toledo, Ohio
• Toledo (8-1) hosts the inaugural Toledo Invite this weekend in Savage Arena. The Rockets will take on Missouri Valley Conference member Evansville (2-7) on Thursday, Dec. 20, before battling either Southwestern Athletic Conference participant Prairie View A&M (2-5) or Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference member Hampton (7-3) on Friday, Dec. 21. Both of UT’s contests will tip off at 7:00 p.m, while the other games will start at 4:30 p.m. Tomorrow’s game against the Purple Aces will also be shown live on BCSN.
