• Ohio will open the tournament against host Minnesota on Saturday at 1 p.m. (noon Central) at Williams Arena. Depending on the result of the first game, the Bobcats will then play the winner or loser of the Maine – UNLV contest in the championship or consolation game on Sunday at noon or 2 p.m. EST.
 
Central Michigan (1-1, 0-0 MAC) at Green Bay (1-0, 0-0 Horizon)

• Central Michigan sophomore Jessica Green has led the Chippewas in its first two contests averaging 20 points, six rebounds and three steals to open the season. For her efforts, Green was named the Mid-American Conference West Division Player of the Week. CMU opened its season with a 73-58 win over Bradley before falling 82-72 at Northwestern. Saturday’s game against Green Bay will be the third consecutive road trip for the Chippewas.

5:30 PM ET • Ball State leads 10-4
• Four women’s basketball players scored in double figures Tuesday night after losing a hard fought battle to in-state rival Butler by a score of 68-62 in Worthen Arena.  Junior Brandy Woody led the Caridnals in scoring with 17 points, which tied her career high.  Freshman forward Nathalie Fontaine chipped in 13 on the night, shooting 5-of-7 from the field, while also pulling down nine rebounds.  Sophomore guards Brittany Carter and Shelbie Justice each had 10 points apiece.  Ball State will play its first road game Saturday when it travels to Marshall for a 5:30 p.m. tipoff.

• After losing to Iowa in the Preseason WNIT first round, NIU is in the consolation round. The winner of NIU-Davidson will face the winner of Kennesaw State-Morehead State Sunday, while the loser will face the loser of the KSU-MSU game Sunday to complete the three-game guarantee of the tournament.
