Updated 10/16/2012

Offensive Field Hockey Player of the Week
Alyssa Logan, Miami, Forward
Junior, Los Gatos, Calif. (Presentation)

Logan had a career game in Miami’s 9-1 victory over Appalachian State. She recorded three goals for her first career hat trick. It included a stretch of two goals in less than two minutes late in the first half, changing a 1-0 lead into a 3-0 lead at halftime, and setting the stage for Miami to blow the game open in the second half. She contributed to that effort when her chip in goal during a scramble in the 54th minute made it 5-1 and gave her the first hat trick of her career. After not scoring her previous two seasons, Logan has now become a key player for the RedHawks with five goals and three assists for the season.
