Cleveland, Ohio - MAC Football Social Media Road Tour Stop #1 is in the books and spending the night in Akron on "Social Night" was a great way to kick things off this season. Below are the comments from our three social correspondents from last night's Akron v. UCF game and be sure to follow @ExperienceMAC for all of the latest as the tour continues.

I was one of the lucky few to be given the opportunity to participate in the Mid American Conference’s Social Media Tour. It lived up to everything I thought it could be and then some! I love the revolutionary and innovative idea the MAC came up with by combining the fans and media into one person and allowed myself and two others the chance to experience game day college football like never before! We gained all the perks instantly, such as, going down to the field before and after the game, front row of the press box, access to restricted areas of the stadium and even rubbing elbows with some of the greatest sports writers during the coach’s press conference. Interacting with fans during the game via twitter (@ExperienceMAC) was personally a new experience to the degree that, we updated MAC fans/followers up to the nano-second on what we were doing and experiencing. My favorite part of today was the post game presser, getting great on-field photos and meeting some great new people. I definitely want to the thank the MAC conference for giving myself, Tiffany and Anthony the chance to live out a fan’s dream today and spend the day as a MAC social media member!

I'm glad I was able to be apart of the MAC Social Media Road Tour. Being a Medical Student it's tough to travel to games and support the teams. I root for Akron so this opportunity was a great one.I was able to go on the field before the gam, which was an awesome experience most people don't get to do. The MAC is also way ahead of the other conferences in the NCAA when it comes to social media and as this road tour picks up steam and more and more people become aware of it, tons of MAC fans will be able to share their opinions and interact with each other. I think this will really help boost MAC fan support. I'd like to thank the MAC and Jeremy Guy for this awesome opportunity!

I definitely enjoyed my experience with the MAC Football Social Media Tour. The opportunity to see all of the behind the scenes action during a game was incredible and I would definitely suggest taking part in it to anyone interested in one day working in the communications field in sports. Being a sports fan, it was nearly impossible to not cheer in the press box! Overall, it  was a great experience and I'd do it all over again!
