AVON, Ohio –
Rick Dodridge threw the second complete game shutout of the MAC Tournament, and only the second since 2004, as the Chippewas advanced to the title game with a 7-0 win over Miami.  Dodridge allowed six hits and three walks over his outing, while striking out three as well.

Dodridge’s defense supplied him with the spark in the second inning as Miami lined into an 8-3-6 triple-play.   Following the second inning, Dodridge allowed only four hits over the final seven innings on his way to the victory.

Central Michigan makes a quick turn-around to face Kent State in the Championship game as it will start at approximately 4:15 PM.  Miami finishes their season with the loss, and wrap up with an overall record of 30-29.
