Neil Butara threw 6.1 innings for Ohio, allowing three runs on three hits with three walks, while striking out seven. Relievers, Jordan Glover and Joe Battistelli, came on and worked the final 2.2 scoreless innings, with Battistelli picking up the save in the ninth.
For Central Michigan, Zach Cooper took the loss after going the complete game, allowing four runs on seven hits and striking out six.
Eastern Michigan advances to face the winner of Toledo and Miami, Thursday at 7:30 PM, while Central will await the loser of that game and play at 9 AM in the first elimination game of the tournament.

Back-to-back leadoff singles by Jamie Simpson and John Rubino led to the first runs of the game. Following a sacrifice bunt and a pop up, a two-out, two-run single from Brent Ohrman gave the Eagles the early advantage.
Top 5: EMU 3, CMU 0
Simpson for the second time in the game turned a leadoff single into another EMU run. Simpson reached on the single to center, advanced to third on a single by J. Rubino, and following a walk to Ben Magsig, Tucker Rubino sent a sac fly to center to score Simpson.
Bottom 5: CMU 1, EMU 3
Jordan Adams leadoff the bottom half of the fifth inning with a seven-pitch walk. After moving over on a wild pitch, a Nick Regnier single to center drove in the Chippewas first run of the afternoon.
Top 7: EMU 4, CMU 1
For the third time in the game, Simpson started-off an inning with a shot back up the middle and into centerfield. Simpson moved to second on a wild pitch, and moved to third on a J. Rubino groundout. A few batters later, T. Rubino blasted a one-out sacfly to deep left-center to score Simpson for the third time today.
Bottom 7: CMU 3, EMU 4
Sam Russell started the inning off with a one-out single to center field. Following a single by Adams and a walk to Regnier, a medium deep sacfly to center by Eric Wrozek drove in Russell. Next, Pat MacKenzie legged out an infield single drive-in Adams for the Chippewas second run of the inning.
