FISHERS, Indiana - While Kent State's 14th consecutive MAC Women's Golf Championship earned the Golden Flashes another trip to the NCAA Championships, Ball State freshman Jenna Hague's late performance in the third round of the MAC Championship is what had many leaving Hawthorns Golf and Country Club remembering.

Hague trailed by two heading to the par three, fifteenth, Hague landed her tee-shot eight feet in front of the hole, bounced twice and rolled it in for the ace.

Following a bogey-par on 16 and 17, Hague walked up to the green on 18 with, what at the time seemed like a six-foot putt for the championship.

However, Toledo's Piyathida Chaiyapan knocked down a 40 foot birdie from the back of the green to force Hague to make hers from six feet and force a sudden-death playoff.

On the first playoff hole, Hague once again stuck it within six feet for a chance at the title.  Following Chaiyapan's long birdie putt that put her within five feet.  Hague knocked hers down to earn the individual medalist honors.  For Hague, she becomes only the third golfer outside of Kent State to win the individual MAC crown.  Hague's final round 69, also ties her for the lowest final round in MAC Tournament history.

For Kent State, their reign as MAC Champions continued as four of the five Golden Flash golfers finished in the top 10 and all in the top 15.  2012 MAC Golfer of the Year, Mercedes Germino, paced the way for Kent State, finishing one shot out of first at eight-over for the 54 hole tournament.  As a team, the Golden Flashes shot a final round 300, to turn a four-shot lead after 36 holes, into a dominating 16-shot victory.
