Toledo Hosts Ball State in Men's Hoops Action Tonight

• Toledo hosts Ball State on Tuesday evening in its first Mid-American Conference home game of the 2011-12 campaign. Tip-off time is set for 7:00 p.m. with the matchup being televised live on SportsTime Ohio as well as ESPN Fullcourt and ESPN3. UT (8-7, 0- MAC) will be looking to bounce back from an 85-69 setback in its conference opener Saturday evening at Central Michigan. The Rockets rank second in the MAC in scoring offense (75.9 ppg), FG% (46.5), FT% (72.5) and three-point FG% (36.9). Sophomore G Rian Pearson is one of four Rockets scoring in double figures. He leads the MAC with 3.1 offensive rpg and is second with 8.4 rpg, fifth with 16.3 ppg and 10th with a 50.5 FG%....The Cardinals (9-4, 1-0 MAC) are undefeated in seven home games but have a 2-4 win-loss mark away from Worthen Arena. Ball State tops the MAC in scoring defense (57.8 ppg), FG% defense (36.5%), three-point FG% defense (27.7%) and assist/turnover ratio (1.1). Senior C Jarrod Jones ranks second and third in the MAC with 18.0 ppg and 8.4 rpg, respectively, while senior G Randy Davis leads the league with 6.5 apg and an impressive 91.1 FT%.
