A pair of key Tuesday night matchups highlights another week of Mid-American Conference football.
The Northern Illinois Huskies, fresh off a thrilling 63-60 victory at Toledo, travel to Bowling Green on Tuesday to take on Dave Clawson and the Falcons. The Huskies are lead by quarterback Chandler Harnish. In last week’s win over Toledo, Harnish victimized the Rockets secondary for 265 yards passing and six touchdowns. The Huskies and the Falcons will kick off at 8:00 pm ET on ESPN2. Also on Tuesday night Toledo will host Western Michigan. The Rockets, who won last year’s battle between the two MAC West rivals 37-24 in Kalamazoo, lead the all-time series against the Broncos 37-28. Game time is set for 8:00 pm ET on ESPNU.
On Wednesday night the Miami RedHawks will travel to Philadelphia to take on Temple. The Owls will be seeking revenge on the RedHawks after last season’s 23-3 setback in Oxford. The game can be seen on ESPN at 8:00 pm ET.
Thursday night will feature a battle between Ohio and Central Michigan. Frank Solich and his Bobcats, coming off a huge MAC East win over Temple, will travel to Mount Pleasant, MI, a place they have not won since 2001. Game time is set for 7:30 pm ET on ESPNU.
The Battle for the Wagon Wheel takes center stage on Saturday at InfoCision Stadium as rivals Kent State and Akron square off for the 54th time. The Zips hold a 30-21-2 advantage over the Golden Flashes, however Kent State one last season’s matchup 28-17. The matchup is set for 2:00 pm ET and can be seen on SportsTime Ohio (STO), ESPN Game Plan, and ESPN3.
