Muncie, Ind. - Toledo claimed its fourth Women's Championship title in school history in record fashion as MAC teams fought it out at the 2011 MAC Cross Championships at Pine View Golf Club in Muncie, Ind. at Muncie Elks Country Club. The Rockets scored a conference record-low 33 points and won back-to-back conference titles for the second time in school history.

Ohio's Juli Accurso claimed the women's individual title in a time of 20.35.3. Accurso is the fourth runner in Ohio history to win the individual title and the first runner since Annie Beecham (2008) to bring home the win for the Bobcats. Toledo's Emma Kertesz finished second with a time of 20.48.4, while teammate and 2009 & 2010 Champion Ari Fisher took home a third place finish with a time of 20:53.5.

Central Michigan came in second with 73 points. Miami followed in third place (83 points), while Ohio followed in fourth place (86 points). Eastern Michigan (fifth, 89 points), Western Michigan (sixth, 177 points), Akron (seventh, 212 points), Ball State (eighth, 227 points), Kent State (ninth, 257 points), Buffalo (10th, 262 points), Northern Illinois (11th, 309 points) and Bowling Green (12th, 379 points) rounded out the field. 

Toledo's Kevin Hadsell was named the MAC Men's Coach of the Year. The honor was selected by the leagues head coaches following the race. It marked the fourth time the honor has been bestowed upon him. He also won the award in 2001, 2002 and 2010 - three other Rocket conference championships.

The Rockets will look to continue their success in two weeks when they return to action on November 12 at the NCAA Great Lakes Regional meet in Toledo, Ohio. A top finish there would earn the teams a spot in the national meet later this month in Terre Haute, Ind.
