MAC Storylines

• Toledo junior wide receiver Eric Page became the school’s alltime career receptions leader with 235 career receptions.

• Temple junior running back Bernard Pierce became the school’s all-time leader in career rushing touchdowns with 41 scores.

• After six weeks of college football, eight of the 13 MAC football programs have three or more wins.

• Six conference games featured this Saturday, Oct. 15th. Toledo at Bowling Green (Noon, ESPN Game Plan); Buffalo at Temple (1 pm); Eastern Michigan at Central Michigan (3 pm); Miami at Kent State (3:30 pm); Ball State at Ohio (3:30 pm, SportsTime Ohio/Comcast Indiana); Western Michigan at Northern Illinois (3:30 pm, Comcast SportsNet Chicago).

• Bowling Green and Toledo jointly announced the introduction of a new Battle of I-75 Trophy to be presented annually to the winner of the football game between the two schools. The trophy will replace the Peace Pipe Trophy that had been used in the football rivalry since 1980.
