Five Mid-American Conference wide receivers were named to the 2011 Biletnikoff Award Watch List, honoring the nation's best wide receiver. Western Michigan senior Jordan White, Bowling Green senior Kamar Jorden, Toledo junior Eric Page, Miami sophomore Nick Harwell and Central Michigan junior Cody Wilson were all named to this year's list.
White, who was granted a sixth year by the NCAA, enters his final season for Western Michigan with 2,276 receiving yards, 166 catches and 15 career receiving TDs, all ranking in the top 10 in school history in each category. Last season he set new marks in receiving yards in a season (1,378) and 100-yard receiving games in a season (7) en route to earning First Team All-Mid-American Conference and receiving honorable mention for All-America by Sports Illustrated.
Jorden led the Falcons with 96 receptions for 1,109 yards and four touchdowns. Jorden ranked second in the MAC with his 96 receptions and third in receiving yards. In 12 games last season, Jorden averaged 92.4 yards per contest.
Page led the Rockets with 99 receptions for 1,105 yards and eight touchdowns. Page led the MAC with 99 receptions and ranked fourth with his 1,105 yards receiving. In 13 games last year, Page averaged 85.0 yards per game.
Harwell emerged for Miami as a freshman with 64 receptions for 871 yards and six touchdowns. Harwell led MAC freshman wideouts in receptions, yards and touchdowns. In 14 games last season, Harwell averaged 62.2 yards per game.
Wilson led Central Michigan with 83 receptions for 1,137 yards and five touchdowns. Wilson ranked second in the MAC with 1,137 yards and his 83 receptions ranked sixth in the conference. In 12 games last year, Wilson averaged 94.8 yards per game.
