Rachael Pruett tied for third at the Claud Jacobs Intercollegiate in Victoria, Texas, with a score of 227 . . . She helped the Cardinals to a tie for 6th in the 17-team tournament, which was the spring season opener for Ball State.

Senior Sarah Bradley (Cambridge, New Zealand) finished the tournament tied for 23rd as Kent State's top finisher. Tuesday's final round brought a second five-over 77 for Bradley, who did tally a birdie on the par-5 No. 11 for the second time during the tournament. Bradley finished with a 227, two strokes off her career-best. She finished above nine golfers ranked in the top 100 by Golf Week in a tournament that featured 12 of the top 50 teams in the country in the 18-team field. Kent State finished tied for sixth in the tournament.

Peters recorded rounds of 78, 76 and 79 for a total of 233 in 20th place, for the third best individual showing out of a student-athlete from the three Mid-American Conference institutions in the tournament. The top 20 showing was her third of the 2010-11 campaign. Led by senior Darby Peters (Lake Orion, Mich.-Lake Orion), the Eastern Michigan University women's golf team finished in a tie for sixth place Monday, Feb. 14, here at the 17-team Claud Jacobs Intercollegiate on the par 72, 6,061-yard course at Victoria Country Club. As a team, the Eagles managed a 54-hole total of 944 (317-308-319) to finish in a tie with Mid-American Conference foe Ball State University.
