MAC Women’s Cross Country Runner of the Week

Ari Fisher, Toledo, Sophomore, Lebanon, OH (Lebanon)       

Colonial Inter-Regional Challenge

6K -- 21:04.3  

Fisher recorded her second individual victory and helped the Rockets to their second team win of the fall season. She set a personal-best time of 21:04.3 in the 6K race, winning the meet by 15 seconds. The Rockets placed ahead of host William & Mary, ranked No. 5 in its region, and Navy, ranked No. 6 in its region. Fisher also took first in a dual meet win over Bowling Green to start the season.

 

MAC Men’s Cross Country Runner of the Week

John Minen, Kent State, Junior, Medina/Highland     

Ohio Invitational         

8k -- 25:31.5  

Minen finished first at the Ohio Invitational to lead Kent State to its third-straight meet win to begin the season. It was a dominating effort for the Golden Flashes as they claimed six of the top seven spots. Minen was the third different runner in as many races to lead all Kent State finishers.

Ohio Invitational

In the rain-shortened Ohio Invitational, Lizarribar finished second for the second time in as many races for her collegiate career. The Kent State women claimed five of the top-10 spots. Regionally-ranked Dayton edged out the Golden Flashes for the title.

Roy Griak Invitational

Oldenburg led the Huskies for the fourth-consecutive week, finishing first for the Huskies at the Roy Griak Invitational. Oldenburg finished 43rd in the Invite, of 193 racers in the invite, with a six-kilometer time of 23:32.
