Brian Smith ? Buffalo
Junior - North Tonawanda, NY/Nichols
Earning three first place finishes (one individual two relays) , At the UB Invitational, Smith broke his own record in the 200m (21.13) by slicing .16 seconds from his performance of last week when he previously set the mark. Ran the anchor leg of the 4x100m relay to a school record time of 40.65, bettering the previous record by a quarter-second. He also ran a leg of the 4x400m relay (3:15.74).

Won the discus at the prestigious 51st annual Mt. SAC Relays in Walnut, Calif. ... tossed a season-best 183-9 to improve on his MAC-leading and regional-qualifying mark.

Jason Headman ? Akron
Senior - Conneaut, Ohio / Edgewood HS
At the All-Ohio Championships, he won the 10,000 meters with a school-record time of 30:10.65. The time is the best in the MAC for 2009. Headman broke a UA 37-year old record in the event. Beat second place by 16 seconds and his previous personal best by 32 seconds. Headman is a fifth-year senior. He did not compete during the 2009 indoor season, having just this outdoor season of eligibility.
David Brent ? Eastern Michigan
Senior - Monroe, Mich.-St. Mary's Catholic
Senior David Brent hit an NCAA Reqional qualifying standard in his second event this outdoor season, doing so in the 800 at the EMU Twilight. He ran 1:50.31 on his way to winning the event. His time is the only NCAA mark achieved by a MAC athelte this season and is the top time in the conference. As stated above, this is his second event he has qualified for, as he did so in the 1,500, which he ranks second in the conference in.
Tony Jordanek ? Kent State
Senior - Lexington, Ohio/Lexington
At the All-Ohio won the 1500 meter; 3:46.27, and Qualified for NCAA Regionals. Set a career personal record in the 1500. Has won an event two weeks in a row (3000 at Northeast Quad last week). Also finished second in 1500 at the 2009 Reebok Raleigh Relays to the open the outdoor season.

Tyshaun Peoples ? Akron
Freshman - Cleveland, Ohio / Glenvile HS
Won the long jump with an NCAA Regional mark of 24-4.25 at the All-Ohio Championships. The distance is the best in the MAC for 2009 and fourth on the UA all-time performer list. He defeated teammate Collister Fahie, who also posted an NCAA Regional mark. Also ran the second leg of the winning 4x100 relay team (40.51), which too is the best time in the MAC.
Matt Gac ? Buffalo
Sophomore - Newark Valley, NY/Newark Valley
At the UB Invitational (5 teams) competed in the Hammer; 1st; 53.52m; Discus; 4th; 47.16m; and Javelin; 6th; 41.83m.
Gearald Gersham ? Eastern Michigan
Senior - Southfield, Mich.-Southfield
Senior Gerald Gersham hit an NCAA regional qualifying mark this season at the EMU Twilight, tossing 56-00.00 to win the shot. His mark also leads the conference and is the only MAC athlete to have an NCAA mark thus far. He also threw 154-02 in the hammer to finish 10th.
Matt Pfleger ? Kent State
Junior - Garrettsville, Ohio/James A. Garfield
At the All-Ohio Championships, competed in the Men's hammer, 60.93 meters, 1st; and Discus, 47.94 meters, 7th. Improved upon regional qualifying mark in the hammer. Also won the hammer at the Northeast Ohio Quad last week. Also finished second and third in the event at the Weems Baskin and Duke Invitationals earlier this season.
Michael Mccarty ? Miami
Sophomore - Hudson, Ohio/Walsh Jesuit
Finished first in three events (100, 400, 110H) and second in the javelin and 1500 in winning the Decathlon (6,870 pts)at the All-Ohio Championships.
