Gavier earned the best finish of her career, carding a six-over, 222 to finish fourth at the Lady Buckeye Invitational. After opening with a 72, she posted back-to-back rounds of three-over to finish just five shots out of the lead as the Flashes finished second in the team race.

Megan Gormley had the second-best tournament of the season, carding 158 at the Falcon Invitational, finishing fourth overall. The junior opened with an 81 and shot 77 on day. Both rounds were played throughout the day in the wind and rain.

Megan Weaver earned the first top-five finish of her career at the Falcon Invitational, tying for second with a total of 157 (+13). She tied eventual winner Michelle Hui and Georgina Hunt of Toledo for the best 36-hole score in the field, but fell in a three-way playoff for the individual medal. Weaver's top-five finished led the way for the Bobcats to finish second in the six-team field, their second top-five showing of the year.

Falcon Invitational

Sophomore Michelle Hui won a three-hole playoff to help Toledo post a seven-stroke victory at the 2009 Falcon Invitational. The Rockets had to battle windy and rainy conditions throughout the tournament but were still able to win their second consecutive tournament title and third of the 2008-09 campaign. Hui (79-78) finished 36 holes in a three-way tie with teammate Georgina Hunt (79-78) and Ohio’s Megan Weaver (76-81) at 13-over par 157. All three golfers bogeyed the first playoff hole, No. 10, before Hui and Weaver registered pars on No. 11. Hui then ended the drama with a par on No. 12.
