Michael Veatch ? Miami
Senior - Middletown, Ohio/Middletown
Veatch qualified for a second straight year in the steeplechase, winning with a time of 9:04.29. He won the race by almost 20 seconds over a pair of Michigan State runners at the South Florida Quad (South Florida, Michigan State, Northeastern).

Freshman - Sarnia, Ontario/Northern CI
Became the first UB athlete to eclipse 200 feet in the javelin throw with a toss of 204-6 (62.33m), to finish first at the Raleigh Relays. Broke the school record set in 1998 by nearly six feet. Improved his distance from his previous season-best by over 40 feet. Earned NCAA East Regional qualifying mark.

Junior - Rochester, NY/East
Porter was part of two record setting relay squads at the Raleigh Relays. He combined with Dan Schichtel, Dan Harris and Brian Smith in the 4x100-meter relay to finish second in 40.91 to break the school mark of 40.99 set in 2006. The 4x100 team was the first college squad to finish ahead of Iowa State, George Mason and Seton Hall. The four combined as the 4x200-meter relay team to set another school record of 1:25.79 and placed fourth overall. Porter also finished 11th in the 400-meters in 48.09, the fastest time in the MAC this season.
Josh Perrin ? Eastern Michigan
Senior - Hillsdale, Mich./Hillsdale
Senior Josh Perrin had an outstanding weekend at the Raleigh Relays, setting personal-bests in the 1,500 and 5,000-meters. He won the 1,500 with a time of 3:49.03, clipping Kent State's Tony Jordanek by .07 seconds. His time of 14:16.02 in the 5,000 was a personal-best and was good for 12th place. His times in the 1,500 and 5,000 lead the conference this year.
Destin Heasley ? Kent State
Sophomore - Massillon, Ohio/Massillon Washington
Heasley won the men’s 800 meters with a time of 1:52.72 at the Weems Baskin Relays at the University of South Carolina on Saturday (3/28). Heasley was the first of three Golden Flashes to cross the finish line as KSU took the top three spots in the event.

Pfleger finished second in the men’s hammer throw with a toss of 195’-3” at the Weems Baskin Relays at the University of South Carolina on Saturday (3/28).
John Brockman ? Miami
Freshman - Granville, Ohio/Granville
In his first collegiate competition, finished second in the javelin at the South Florida Quad. (2nd/56.12m - 184-01). However, there was a question on the results that is still being resolved and he could move up a notch (we believe the winner's mark was incorrecly entered in the computer).
