Ross led the way for the Eagles at the inaugural Rees Jones Intercollegiate with a five-over par 221 (79-69-73). Ross' fifth place showing was his best of the fall and marked the third time in his distinguished EMU career that he has placed a tournament's top five. The inaugural Rees Jones Intercollegiate concluded today at the par 72, 7,380 yard Haig Point Club, with the Eastern Michigan University men's golf team in fifth place with a 54-hole total of 908 (304-298-306). The 69 that Ross shot in the second round broke the course record of 71 previously held by the PGA’s Matt Kuchar.

Freshman Scott Landreth led Akron to a third place finish at the Hummingbird Intercollegiate, the Zips highest finish to date this fall. Placing 11th of the 82-player field on the par-71, 6,767-yard course, Landreth carded a 143 (70-73), which was the highest finish ever of his collegiate career.
