Helped the BGSU defense post back-to-back shutouts, setting a school record in the process. Was called upon to make just one save in 66-plus minutes at Detroit, combining with Becca Ison on a 4-0 shutout. Then, made five stops in Sunday's 1-0 win over IPFW, for her first complete-game shutout of the year. It was the 18th complete-game shutout of her career, setting a new school record. On the week, obviously, had a GAA of 0.00. On the year, has 18 saves and a GAA of 0.93.
Britni Back, Akron, Forward
Senior, North Olmsted, Ohio (North Olmsted)
Back had a part in both of Akron's goals in a 2-1 overtime victory at Morehead State on Friday. She scored the gamewinner with 38 seconds remaining in the first overtime period, after assisting on the goal that gave the Zips a 1-0 lead in the 20th minute. Back leads the Zips in scoring this season, with four points (one goal, two assists). She now has six game-winning goals in her collegiate career, which ranks tied for first all-time in program history.
Stephanie Velez, Buffalo, Forward
Freshman, Mamaroneck, NY (Mamaroneck)
Velez scored her first career goal against St. Bonaventure on Sunday afternoon. As a freshman, Velez has started all five of Buffalo's games and led the team in shots (4) on the weekend.
Laura Twidle, Central Michigan, Forward
Freshman, Mississauga, Ont. (Erindale SS)
Scored her third goal of the season at Michigan, putting the Chippewas up 2-1 at the time ... fired two shots with one reaching the keeper at Michigan State.
Chelsea Detrick, Eastern Michigan, Forward
Sophomore, Grosse Point, Mich.
Detrick scored her first goal of the season in the eighth minute of a 4-1 loss to Michigan on Sunday.
Catharine Marosszeky, Kent State, Midfielder
Senior, Aurora, Ontario
Transitioning to a defensive role last week, Marosszeky aided Kent State by anchoring the team's defense in its first shutout of the season while scoring the game-winning goal against Youngstown State Sept. 6. Her 25-yard free kick was her 7th career game-winning strike.
Allison Berkey, Miami, Midfielder
Senior, Hopkinton, Mass. (Hopkinton)
Berkey registered a goal and an assist in Miami's 2-1 win at Eastern Illinois Sunday, giving her a hand in both scores. Both the goal and assist were her first of the season. Her goal was the game-winner, as she headed home a cross midway through the first half. Head coach Bobby Kramig said Berkey was the key to everything Miami did Sunday.
Lindsey Curnock, Northern Illinois, Goalkeeper
Senior Batavia, Ill. (Batavia)
Curnock posted 11 saves in two games this past weekend, to her opponents 3. This season Curnock has 17 saves for the Huskies, allowing only three goals against Northern Illinois. Redcording a .850 save percentage, Curnock has one shutout on the season bringing her career total to 26.
Sara Seitz, Ohio, Midfielder
Sophomore, Englewood, Ohio (Northmont)
Seitz totaled three points on a goal and an assist to lead Ohio past Cleveland State. She recorded a team- and game-high five shots, including three on goal.
