Cleveland -- The Academic All-MAC Women’s tennis team as voted by league Faculty Athletic Representatives was announced today with seven student-athletes named.
Topping the list were two student-athletes who garnered their third consecutive honor - Stefanie Menoff of Bowling Green and Kerstin Pahl of Western Michigan.
League champion Western Michigan also placed Amanda Moccia on the team. Bowling Green led the way with three selections as Kelsey Jakupcin, a repeat from the 2008 squad, and Christine Chiricosta were honored. Completing the squad are Buffalo’s Denise Harijanto, also a 2008 selections, and Toledo’s Jennifer Belsky.
Chiricosta, Jakupcin, Harijanto and Pahl were also All-Conference athletic selections this year in voting by league head coaches.
Nominees must have a minimum 3.20 cumulative grade point average to be eligible for the team.
