MAC Women’s Tennis Player of the Week
Kerstin Pahl ? Western Michigan
Senior - Kiel, Germany (Heinrich-Heine)
Kerstin Pahl became the winningest player in the history of Western Michigan tennis, men's or women's, by going 4-0 on the road at Butler and Indiana State to reach 215 career wins. Pahl won both of her matches at No. 1 singles in straight sets with a 6-0, 6-2 win over Butler and 6-0, 6-4 win over Indiana State. She also remained perfect with Amanda Moccia with a pair of doubles wins as the 59th-ranked team in the country improved to 9-0. For the season, Pahl is 26-4 in singles and 23-4 in doubles.

Did not lose a single game in either singles or doubles play, as the Falcons swept IUPUI, 7-0, in their lone match of the week ... defeated Karlee Rush, 6-0, 6-0, at the third singles flight ... teamed with classmate Katia Babina to play at the top doubles flight for the first time in their BGSU careers, and posted an 8-0 win ... is now 14-4 in singles play this year, including 6-1 at the #3 flight in dual-match action.
Diana Popescu ? Buffalo
Sophomore - Alexandria, Romania (AL. IL Cuza)
Popescu won all six of her matches this past week in Florida. She claimed three doubles victories from the number one spot and then claimed three victories from the number two singles spot. Against Barry, Popescu won her doubles match, 8-5, and then won her singles match in straight sets, 6-1, 6-1. Against Southern Illinois, Popescu claimed an 8-4 victory in doubles, while again winning singles in straight sets, 6-4, 6-4. To conclude the trip Popescu won her doubles match against Nova Southeastern, 8-3, and then won her singles match in three sets, 4-6, 6-1, 6-2. Popescu is now 10-6 in singles play and 14-6 in doubles action.
