Michigan State def. Central Michigan, 2-0

The Central Michigan field hockey team stood toe to toe with no. 10 Michigan State before falling late on Sunday. The Chippewas (7-11, 6-4 Mid-American) lost to the Spartans, 2-0, at the CMU Field Hockey Complex. MORE

 

Ohio def.  Richmond, 3-1

The Ohio field hockey team defeated the Richmond Spiders, 3-1, Sunday afternoon on a neutral field at John Burroughs High School in St. Louis. Sophomore Paige Herr (Lancaster, Pa.) scored her second-career goal, both game-winners, and both in the Bobcats' last two games, to help lead Ohio (9-11, 6-4 Mid-American Conference) to the victory in their regular season finale and the first-ever meeting with Richmond (9-10, 5-1 Atlantic 10). Miami def. Ball State, 5-0

Senior Courtney Fretz scored three goals on Senior Day to help lead Miami to a 5-0 win over Ball State Sunday. The RedHawks finish the regular season 14-6 and 7-3 in the Mid-American Conference. The 14 wins represent the best regular season win total since 1982. MORE
