MAC Announces Men's Tennis Player of the Week

Sonkin went 2-0 on the day after missing the past four weeks of playing with an injury. He paired with teammate junior Wade Ward for the 8-5 win at the No. 3 doubles spot. After dropping the first set, 5-7, to BSU's Bussert, Sonkin came back fighting for the 6-3, 6-2 victory in the No. 5 singles position.

Alejandro Staub defeated Adam Ford 6-2, 6-2 at No. 3 singles to help Western Michigan win its eighth match in a row and clinch a second-straight undefeated Mid-American Conference regular season championship, the 20th conference title in school history for WMU, also a new MAC record. With the win, Staub added to his MAC-leading total with his 30th singles win of the season and moved to 19-4 in dual match singles with eight wins in a row and 10 of his last 11
