On Miami's season-opening weekend, Heaton reset the varsity 3-meter diving record at consecutive meets, breaking his own Miami record against Ball State and again less than 24 hours later against Western Kentucky. Against the Cardinals, Heaton bested his own school record with a first-place score of 344.85, and he followed with a first-place and varsity-record score of 360.00 against the Hilltoppers. For the weekend, Heaton had the top scores on the both the 1- and 3-meter boards at both meets.

Luke Herlehy won the 1000 free, 500 free and 400 I.M. in this week's competition against Division III powerhouse Kenyon College. Herlehy’s times of 9:43.79 (1000 free), 4:43.32 (500 free) and 4:08.69 (400 I.M.) were all season bests while leading the Bobcats to their first victory over Kenyon in six years. All three times were also team bests for the 2006-07 campaign.

 

 

Andrew Tamchyna

In UB's 184-106 victory at Niagara, Tamchyna swept the backstroke races opening with a 54.47 clocking in the 100-yard distance and picking up another win in the 200-yard race in 1:58.30. He leads the Bulls in both events, having posted a top 200-yard backstroke time of 1:56.22 in UB's season-opening win at Ball State on October 27.

Hembree earned a first place showing in the 1000 yard free for the Cardinals in conference action at Miami after clocking in a time of 9:50.05.  Hembree also took the top spot in the 400 yard IM after earning a time of 4:16.66.

 

 

 

 

Eastern Michigan did not have any Swimmer of the Week nominaton for Men.
