All MAC Teams/Specialty Award
Ohio University Women’s Cross Country team took home both the team and individual titles at the 2006 Mid-American Conference Cross Country Championship on Saturday October 28 at Beaver Island State Park in Buffalo, N.Y.
Ohio University clinched its ninth team title with 37 points defeating second place Bowling Green by 76 points while claiming three of the top ten individual finishes.
Akron finished third with 129 points, followed by Toledo (138), Ball State (151), Western Michigan (159), Central Michigan (172), Miami (177), Eastern Michigan (185), Kent State (240), host Buffalo (254) and Northern Illinois (277).
Junior Carime Reinhart of Ohio took home the individual league title with a time of 20:02.90 edging out second place finisher Mary Veith (20:37.65) of the University of Buffalo by 32 seconds. Ohio’s Andrea Mass seized third place clocking in at 20:39.00 followed by Kim Settle of Bowling Green at 20:41.35, Sediah Erskine of Akron at 20:47.10, Kari Summers of Ohio at 20:47.90 and Bowling Green’s Jamie Roflow at 20:50.20.
