Updated 9/29/2010

MAC Women's Cross Country Runner of the Week
Ari Fisher, Toledo, Junior
Lebanon, Ohio
25th Annual Roy Griak Invitational --6K
Time: 20:53.4

Running her first race since the track season ended in May, the reigning MAC champion in cross country picked right up where she left off in 2009. She took third place in the event, which was the second highest finish ever by both a MAC female and a Toledo woman at this event. The highest finish belongs to former Rocket standout Briana Shook, who took second in 2002. However, Fisher's time of 20:53.4 was just faster than Shook's time of 20:55. The competition featured 9 of last year's 31 NCAA meet participants, and 13 ranked or vote-receiving teams (including Toledo) in this years poll.
