Men’s Golfer Of The Week

Drobnick fired a 70 on the Par 72 course in Tuesday’s final round of the Jim Colbert Intercollegiate to seize individual medalist honors, posting an even par 216 over three rounds. Drobnick’s first-place individual finish marked Miami’s first top individual finish since Ben Wood tied for first at the FirstEnergy Intercollegiate on April 29, 2007. Van Sickle finished in a tie for second, shooting a 73 on the final day. Drobnick paced Miami as it won its first tournament since March 30-31, 2001, capturing the 2007 Jim Colbert Intercollegiate title, besting second-place Kansas State by an impressive 12-stroke margin.
