MID-AMERICAN CONFERENCE ANNOUNCES MEN'S TENNIS ALL-MAC TEAMS

Cleveland, Ohio - The Mid-American Conference (MAC) announced the 2011 Men's Tennis All-MAC first and second teams in conjunction with the Men's Tennis banquet prior to the start of the 2011 MAC Men's Tennis Tournament at Western Michigan University in Kalamazoo, Mich. on April 28-30.
Regular season champion Western Michigan placed two first-team selections and two additional second-team selections as the Broncos enter as host and the No. 1 seed for the 2011 MAC Men's Tennis Tournament. Representing the Broncos was first-team All-MAC selections Michael Calderone and Kazuya Komada and second-team selections Pablo Olivarez and Casey Cullen.
No. 2 seed Toledo was represented by first-team selection Aleksandar Elezovic and second-team selections Knot Likitkumchorn and Sven Burus.
Ball State placed Dalton Albertin as first-team selection and second-team selection Cliff Morrison, while Buffalo witnessed Wojtek Starakiewicz named as first-team selection and Vusa Hove as second-team selection. Northern Illinois placed Maksym Bartiuk as first-team selection.
Also representing Western Michigan, Kazuya Komada was named the 2011 Jack Vredevelt Sportsmanship Award winner, an annual award presented to a senior who has displayed outstanding sportsmanship throughout his career.
