The Western Michigan men’s tennis team will look to defend its MAC Tournament title this weekend as the league’s championship is hosted by IPFW beginning Thursday. WMU earned the No. 1 seed with a perfect 5-o conference slate and 16-7 overall. Ball State gained the No. 2 seed with its 4-1 MAC record.
Action gets underway Thursday with No. 3 seed Toledo facing host IPFW at 10 a.m. No. 4 seed Buffalo takes on No. 5 seed Northern Illinois at 2 p.m.
The winners advance to Friday’s semifinal action with WMU matched against the UB-NIU winner and BSU taking on the UT/IPFW survivor. The league championship match is Saturday at 1 p.m.
All matches will take place at the IPFW Tennis Courts on campus. The inclement weather sight is the Wildwood Tennis and Racquet Club.
