Hanna Ek earned her first medalist finish at Akron after posting a two-round tally of 149 (71-78). Her round of 1-under 71 on Monday was her best round of the season. As the field battled tough pin placements and strong winds, she carded a 78 to help the Zips to a second place finish.

Sophomore Susy Grunden earned her fourth top-ten finish in five tournaments this season with a sixth-place 154 at the 2010 MAC Preview.

Leading the way for the Eagles was senior Darby Peters (Lake Orion, Mich.-Lake Orion) who finished the tournament tied for seventh place with a 12-over par 156 (76-80). The top 10 showing is the 14th of her career and the second of the 2010-11 campaign.

Weaver picked up her second straight top-10 finish and her third in four events as she wrapped up the Fall season tied for 10th at the 2010 MAC Fall Preview. The Canton, Ohio, native carded the team's lowest score in each round of the event, finishing with a 158 overall, just two strokes out of sixth. She led Ohio during the Fall with a 77.6 stroke average.

Britney Hamilton registered the fourth second-place finish of her career, finishing alone in second place at the 2010 MAC Preview. Her 36-hole score of 151 helped the Broncos to win their first MAC Preview title ever and second team title of the 2010 fall season. It is the first time WMU has won multiple tournaments in a season since 2003-04. Hamilton has been the team's top individual finisher in three of the four tournaments so far this season with a pair of second-place finishes and a tie for fourth place.
