MAC Men's Tennis Player of the Week
Maksym Bartiuk, Northern Illinois - Sophomore, Kyiv, Ukraine
Northern Illinois sophomore Maksym Bartiuk had a perfect week of singles play, including a victory over Joshua Graves of No. 69-ranked Northwestern. Bartiuk opened the weekend with a 7-5, 6-1 victory against Michael Sperry of Eastern Illinois as the Huskies beat Eastern Illinois, 6-1. Bartiuk also teamed with Maksym Lagutin for an 8-4 doubles victory against Eastern Illinois. The following day, Bartiuk claimed Northern Illinois only point against nationally-ranked Northwestern, defeating Graves, 6-1, 3-6, 7-5.

Toledo senior Aleksandar Elezovic helped the Rockets to a 2-1 weekend on the road with wins over Butler and Valparaiso, and a close loss to ITA No. 64 DePaul. In doubles play, Elezovic and partner Sven Burus moved to 22-4 overall (10-3 regular season) with an 8-0 win over Valpo's Gaspar and Baum and a 9-8(6) win over Butler's Warren and Herron. Against No. 64 DePaul, the pair kept it close but dropped an 8-6 decision at No. 1. In singles play, Elezovic won both of his matches. He registered a 6-3, 7-6(5) over No. 64 DePaul's Kasper and a swift 6-0, 6-2 win over Butler's Bayliss to move to 8-3 in regular-season singles play.
