Poziomski extended his singles winning streak to three matches with back-to-back wins over IPFW and Ball State last week. In the Huskies' 6-1 win at IPFW, Poziomski defeated Hermann Kuschke in a convincing 6-1, 6-2 decision, and also teamed with Jimmy Chu to post an 8-2 win at the No. 1 doubles position. On Saturday, Poziomski helped NIU secure its first dual-match win over Ball State since 1974, by topping the Cardinals' No. 1 singles player, Jose Perdomo, in a hard-fought three-set (4-6, 7-6, 6-1) match. Poziomski has played each of the past two matches at the No. 1 singles position after starting the season ranked No. 2.

Zeyad Montasser swept both his matches against second place Toledo to lead Western Michigan to its third consecutive undefeated MAC championship. Montasser and Kevin Hayward won 8-5 at No. 2 doubles in the first match off the court to propel WMU to the doubles sweep. Montasser clinched the match victory by defeating Gursher Harika 6-2, 6-4 at No. 5 singles and finished the year a perfect 8-0 in the MAC in singles and doubles.
