MAC Men’s Swimmer of the Week
Derick Roe ? Eastern Michigan
Senior - Sidney, Ohio
Roe helped the Eagles start the
season 2-0, defeating Buffalo
and Xavier. Against Buffalo,
the senior helped EMU win its 51st consecutive MAC dual meet, winning the 50
and 100 free races. He was a member of the winning 400 medley relay team and
his 200 free relay team had the fastest time of the meet. Saturday against
Xavier, he once again won the 50 and 100 free races while helping the 400
medley relay team to a victory. His 400 free relay team also had the best time
of the day.

Laska scored a first-place time of
21.58 in BSU's meet versus Buffalo
last Saturday, while also placing second in the 100 free (48.00) and helping
guide BSU's 400 free relay squad to a first-place time of 3:14.43.
Jake Sangren ? Buffalo
Freshman - Ithaca, NY/Lansing
Freshman Jake Sangren won three
individual events last weekend, and also swam the backstroke leg of the winning
400 Medley Relay against Ball
State (3:33.29). First
place finishes included the 100 backstroke in the meet against Eastern Michigan
(51.43) and the 200 IM (1:59.58) and 200 backstroke (1:55.24) against Ball State,
to help the Bulls even their MAC record at 1-1.
